Environmental and Sustainability Commitment

At Bloc we want to be part of a movement committed to keeping our planet healthy and safe for our future generations. We are making great steps and in doing so feel it's important we let you know what we are doing to support the Global Goals

By using a renewable energy company we are ensuring there is investment in ways to generate energy from unlimited natural resources.

Carbon footprint

Using A++ efficiency lighting we have reduced our energy output by 50%. Our white goods range between A and B Efficiency Rating. Our staff are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport with only 5% of our team car sharing.

Plastics and Packaging

All our café products are provided through likeminded suppliers where the use of plastics is limited. We avoid the use of single use plastics including water bottles and dispensers.

Waste and Recycling

Much of our waste is glass, paper and cardboard collected separately with targets set to reduce our annual general waste. Our food will shortly be recycled ensuring nothing goes to waste. Our café tables, benches, trays and storage are made by us using locally recycled scaffold planks, pallets and upcycled vintage items.

Supporting our local community and investing in those that need support is key and we will continue to support local charities and encourage well-being through our sporting activities and a healthy lifestyle.

We aim to be Carbon Net Zero by 2023 working with Carbon Neutral Britain and West of England Green to achieve our dream.
